Music Delights September Edition

Music Delights September Edition

October 19, 2016

I have been listening to some exciting music last month and decided that this was as good as any to share. Music takes some time to find, which is why I don’t have many posts on music yet.

But hopefully with this post you can find some more musical favorites to add to your tea hour.

First up is Jan Lisiecki’s CD Chopin’s Etudes.  Jan plays these pieces amazingly. He really brings out the poetry and beauty in every note, even the tricky arpeggios.  These pieces are the perfect background music for your quiet time. I especially like to play Chopin when I am just overwhelmed, and it helps me relax and be refreshed. This album is available on Spotify for free.

Next up is a choral CD by the Choristers of St.Paul’s Cathedral.  “How Can I keep From Singing?”  The music here is not heavy, and can be quite relaxing. The music selection is based on the English Choral Tradition with a mix of hymns, anthems, and traditional English Songs.  With such a wide variety and familiar tunes, it is hard not to either sing along with them, or listen to them with complete absorption. This album as well is available on Spotify for free.

That is all for this review. I hope you check out these albums, and maybe you will find a new favorite.

Have a good day,

Alyssa
