Surprising uses for Tea Bags

Surprising uses for Tea Bags

November 25, 2015

Did you know that tea has many other benefits than just drinking it?
For centuries tea has been used to heal wounds, stop bleeding, and a vast number of other medical remedies.

Today we will just see a few uses of tea’s healing properties.

So lets begin!

Treating Sun Burn
Have you ever forgotten to use sunscreen and as consequence gotten a bad sunburn? You have probably heard that Aloe Vera leaves can help with the discomfort, but did you know that tea can also alleviate the pain as well? That’s right! Just put a few tea bags in a bathtub and soak. The discomfort will lesson in a couple of minutes. This method can also work on smaller, minor burns, from teapots, irons, etc. Just press a few wet tea bags to the affected area.

Reliving Tired Eyes
Relive those tired, achy, puffy eyes by soaking tea bags in warm water and place them over your eyes for about 20 minutes. Tanins is an  ingredient in the tea helps reduce the puffiness and provide relief to strained and tired eyes.

Reduce Razor Burn
If you are anything like me and forget to change your razor blade or get a new disposable razor, you know how annoying and painful razor burn is. To relieve the rash and cuts, apply a wet tea bag to the affected area and let sit for a couple of minutes. Afterwards remove the tea bag and don’t forget to get a new razor or change your blade.

Drain a boil
Drain that painful boil with a boiled tea bag. Cover the boil with the tea bag overnight and the boil should drain without pain by the time you wake up the next morning.

Alright, that is it for today. More articles on beauty and remedies coming soon, every Wednesday.

Until next time,
Alyssa
